LAND brings together nine celebrated Australian artists responding to the atmosphere of place. Developed following a 2025 residency at The Corridor Project on Wiradjuri Country, the exhibition emerges from direct, embodied experience tracing geology, weather, memory, and cultural histories through abstraction and material experimentation. Collectively, the works extend contemporary Australian landscape painting through engaged, site-responsive practice.

LAND: Artists on the Land of Three Rivers

In Wyangala, the land holds its own quiet rhythm — light glancing across granite forms, wind bending through grass, the slow turning of time inscribed in every contour. Immersed in this landscape, Belinda Street paints not only what she sees, but what she feels: the shimmer of heat, the memory of footsteps, the echo of presence that lingers long after we pass. The artist’s brushstrokes move like weather — bold, searching, alive — translating sensation into colour and rhythm. Each gesture speaks of connection and transience, of how place imprints itself upon us. Created both on site and later in the studio, they reflect a dialogue between direct experience and remembered impression, revealing the landscape as a living, breathing presence.
